Documentary Storytelling

In Their Own Words – this phrase is the reason we think Documentary Storytelling is a wonderful and powerful method of communication. Starting with first person accounts coupled with audio to draw the viewer deeper into the subject, the visuals then create an atmosphere to paint the full picture of the story. Our approach to Documentary Storytelling is to clearly communicate the topic and inspire the viewer. 

I helped Ethical Narrative in Sacramento create visual elements, including this video's opening sequence and drone video,  to use in this project for the United Way California Capitol Region. We are very happy that this video helped raise thousands of dollars to help others in need. 

This is a mini documentary we created about a wonderful group in Davis, California. Purple Tree Café is a nonprofit that provides meaningful employment and job training for individuals with disabilities. The employees learn baking and also sell their baked goodies at the farmers' market and local establishments as well as catering and gifts. Video length - 10:00

A contingency of Native American and Indigenous peoples lead the Women's March in Sacramento on January 18, 2020. The group used the opportunity to bring awareness to the thousands of missing or murdered Native American and Indigenous women and girls. Video length - 5:30

Mini doc on the Isleton Spam Festival, February 16, 2020. Festivities of the day include Spam eating, tossing, and cooking contests. Video length - 07:00 minutes
